Delete your account

You can delete your Owlex account and everything stored with it at any time, from inside the app. You don’t need to contact us first, and you don’t need a reason.

Delete it in the app

  1. Open Owlex and go to the Me tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm twice. The second confirmation is deliberate — this can’t be undone.

Deletion happens immediately. Your account, your collection and your photos are removed from our systems, and you’re signed out.

Or ask us to delete it

If you can’t reach the app — a lost or broken phone, for example — email support@owlex.co.uk from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We’ll confirm once it’s done.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and sign-in details
  • Your profile and preferences
  • Your whole collection — every card, folder, quantity and note
  • Card photos stored with us on paid tiers. On the free tier, photos live on your device and go when you delete the app
  • Any eBay listing records held in Owlex
  • The encrypted eBay access token, if you connected eBay

What we keep, and why

We keep a limited set of records where the law requires it — for example, transaction records we’re obliged to retain. Nothing in that set is used to rebuild your collection or contact you, and it is not used for marketing. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.

Analytics events are aggregated and are not tied back to a deleted account.

Your subscription is separate

Deleting your Owlex account does not cancel a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so they have to be cancelled where they were bought:

  • iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Owlex → Cancel
  • Android: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Owlex → Cancel

Cancel the subscription first, then delete the account, or you may keep being billed.

Your eBay account is unaffected

Owlex lists cards to your own eBay account and never handles the sale. Deleting your Owlex account removes the encrypted token we hold and stops us from acting on your behalf — it does not touch your eBay account, your live listings or your eBay sales history. Manage those on eBay.

Deleting only some of your data

If you want part of your data removed without closing your account, you can delete individual cards, folders and photos inside the app. For anything else — or to request a copy of your data, or have it corrected — email support@owlex.co.uk. Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
