One to two seconds on average, from pointing the camera to seeing the card named and priced. A binder page of cards is detected in the same shot rather than one at a time, so a full page takes about as long as a single card.
On a single card it names the exact print correctly on the first try 91% of the time, and the right print is among its top five suggestions 99.1% of the time. Those five are one button away, so on the rare miss you pick the right card in a second rather than re-shooting it.
It matches the artwork itself rather than reading the text, so it works on Japanese cards, foils and glare where OCR falls over. The model is trained on around 10,000 hand-labelled cards, and it identifies the exact print — set, number and language — which is what actually determines the price.
Live market data covering multiple online marketplaces, matched to the exact print and condition you scanned rather than to the card name. Values are cached so the app stays fast, and subscribers on any paid plan get every card in their stock refreshed within 24 hours. Market values are quoted in US dollars — that is the currency our pricing source reports — so if you list in another currency, treat the market value as a reference and set your own asking price.
No. Owlex covers Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece and Lorcana. Sports cards are on the roadmap — the scanner handles them, but there is no pricing source we trust yet, so we would rather not ship a number we can’t stand behind.

Multi-card scanning, where you photograph a whole binder page at once, is the one metered part: the free tier includes ten of those, and both paid plans make it unlimited. Paid plans also add stock capacity, cloud photo backup, the 24-hour refresh promise and no ads; eBay listing is on the Trader plan.
